Moving Parts of the Arts Call for Entries

Roswell Cycling FestivalAny Roswell artist wanting to get a piece of work in front of the whole city? Now is your opportunity, so you better seize it. In celebration of the Roswell Cycling Festival, a community-wide annual cycling event, the Roswell Cultural Arts Board is coordinating a month long display of artfully reconstructed bicycles or bicycle parts throughout the streets of Roswell. Roswell Bicycles has donated 20 bikes in hopes of having artists throughout the community transform them into creative masterpieces for residents and visitors to enjoy during the month of April. However, you have got absolutely no time to waste as the deadline for applications is Friday, March 25, 2011. Applying is simple – just fill out the online form or mail it to:

City of Roswell Historic & Cultural Affairs Dept.
c/o Brandee Bryant
38 Hill St. – Suite 100
Roswell, GA 30075

If you have any questions about applying, contact Sharon Moskowitz at (404) 307-9378.

Participants must be Roswell residents or artists affiliated with a local Roswell business. Individual, combined artists and organizations are all welcome. A bio and resume including a brief description of recent work should be submitted via mail or email. Each participant is responsible for picking up a bicycle from Roswell Bicycles at 670 Houze Way – Roswell, GA.  Since Roswell Bicycles is so generously donating the bikes, you have no entry fee and no excuse not to participate. Do your best to create pieces that are weather resistant. There are no restrictions based on art discipline – be as creative as you can be!
