John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods has been building homes throughout the Southeast for the past 40 years! To celebrate this tremendous milestone, the new home builder has drastically discounted many available homes, including a few in Roswell. One of the most notable price reductions is on a gorgeous five bedroom home with over 5,000 square feet of living space. Originally priced at $669,900, the home, which is located in Stonegrove, has been reduced $70,000 to only $599,900.
As mentioned about, the home features five bedrooms with four and one-half baths, a three-car garage and 5,575 square feet. Needless to say, you have plenty of space. The home has an open layout, meaning the kitchen seamlessly connects to the family room and ensures the chef remains a part of the conversations and other happenings taking place. Also on the main floor is a guest bedroom with a private bathroom, a keeping room off of the kitchen, a formal living room/study and a formal dining room. The kitchen is adorned with impeccable finishes like hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances and a spacious island. New Townhomes Near Historic Downtown Roswell
July 20, 2011 by lauraeverett
Filed under Homes, Homes from $200,000, Neighborhoods, Real Estate
From amazing signature restaurants to fun, family-friendly events, there’s no doubt that the city of Roswell has a lot to offer homeowners. As you may expect, many of these events, as well as a multitude of great restaurants and shops, center around historic downtown Roswell, making it a highly sought-after place to live. Unfortunately, not many real estate opportunities arise within walking distance of this vibrant area, so when they do, you should take notice. For example, you should take notice of these two new townhomes currently for sale in Roswell Mill Village.
605 Elm Street Listed at $249,900, this two-story townhome features three bedrooms with three and one-half baths with an abundance of living space both indoor and out. Off of the front of the house are two rocking-chair porches and the back has an enclosed deck. As for the interior, the kitchen features stainless steel appliances, beautiful backsplash and granite countertops. Throughout the rest of the house, you’ll find an upgraded molding package, pine floors and other designer details. In addition to the aesthetic features, the craftsmanship is of the highest quality with aspects like a superior insulation package, 35 year roof, concrete crawl space and more. Plus, the home is situated almost directly next to the Roswell Mill, close to the historic town square as well as other parks and walking trails.
625 Elm Street As you can see, this home is very similar to the other townhome for sale, but it does have a few differences. First, the asking price is only $239,900. The fine finishes in the interiors are pretty much the same as well, but instead of pine floors, this townhome has hardwood floors. The biggest difference though would be that this home has a finished terrace level, giving it a bit more living space than the other. The terrace level features an extra bathroom, media room and private patio. Read more

Applications Being Accepted for the Community Development Block Grant
July 11, 2011 by lauraeverett
Earlier this year, the City of Roswell put into motion the establishment of the Community Development Block Grant. Basically, this program funds city projects that benefit low to moderate income populations and has $400,000 to $500,000 annually to help these projects. Now that the city of Roswell has all of the logistics worked out, they are accepting applications through July 22, 2011 for local organizations to receive funding.
Nonprofit and governmental agencies that furnish measurable services to low- and moderate-income citizens within the City of Roswell are eligible to apply for funding. Applications can be found on the City’s website at www.roswellgov.com/cdbg. For additional information about the program, please call 770-594-6296 or email CDBG@roswellgov.com.
There is plenty of money up for grabs, so if you qualify for funding or know an organization that does, please encourage them to apply. The great thing about the Community Development Block Grant is that the money allotted goes directly back into the community, improving Roswell for all citizens.
