It seems as though we were just announcing the new construction at Stonewyck, and now, just a few months later, we’ve been informed that only four homesites remain in the community. Stonewyck is a small enclave of only 18 homes located off of Old Alabama Road near the Holcomb Bridge intersection, which could easily explain why these homes have sold so quickly. Once offering homes priced from the $800′s, the new construction starts from the $300′s, which could also explain the popularity of Stonewyck. Of course, the exceptional floorplans and quality of construction could also be attributed to the community’s success.
For example, one new floorplan specifically designed for the community, and appropriately called the Stonewyck, features five bedrooms with four baths and a three-car garage. Read more

North Fulton County School Redistricting is Under Debate
May 15, 2011 by lauraeverett
Earlier this year, the Fulton County school board released a redistricting plan for North Fulton schools that will affect over 2,000 students. Nearly 500 students from Roswell High School will be moved to Milton High beginning in 2012. These maps have been the subject of much debate around North Fulton County the past few weeks, and you may even have seen Roswell residents protesting the changes. Parents are not happy with the proposed changes as many residents specifically moved to Roswell so their kids would attend Roswell High School. Well, these parents are not alone in their contempt with the changes as Mayor Jere Wood has publicly voiced his concerns as well. Basically, Wood believes sending students out of the city limits to go to school will negatively impact Roswell’s sense of community.
“They’re breaking the connection between the community and the school,” said Wood. “That’s a bond of loyalty. That’s school pride.” Read more
