If you’re looking for something really new and different to do this summer, join A Southern Trilogy in Roswell for the first annual “Trilogy Trolley Crawl” happening Saturday, August 22 from 7 p.m.-11:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door and include three drink tickets and three sampler plate tickets. The event will take place on the grounds of three of Roswell’s historic homes – Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall and Smith Plantation.
History takes a step forward at this party where you will enjoy regional cuisine and signature drinks as each site transforms into one of three great American locals:
Barrington Hall will cater to the Parrot Head in all at the Barrington Hall Key West Beach Bash featuring A1A – The “Official” Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band.
Swing meets jazz at Bulloch Hall where the atmosphere of New Orleans comes to life featuring the sweet tunes of Gwen Hughes & The Retro Jazz Kats plus swing dancers.
Smith Plantation transforms into the streets of old San Antonio for an authentic southwestern fiesta featuring Mariachi Sensacion and salsa dancers.
Other fun activities are scheduled such as the “Flamingo Toss” at Barrington and the “Mask Making Contest” at Bulloch. Trolleys will transport guests from each of the homes. Parking is available at each site.
The event was created to attract people in the community who may not typically visit historic museum sites. “We specifically wanted to reach out to individuals who might not be automatically drawn to these historic homes,” says Morgan Timmis, Roswell’s Historic and Cultural Affairs Manager. “We hope to attract at least 500 if not 1000 to the party.”
Sponsors of the “Trilogy Trolley Crawl” include the City of Roswell, A Southern Trilogy, 106.7 Atlanta’s True Oldies, The Visualab, Stream Light Productions, Nirvana Café & Grille, Scroggin & Company and Mimms Enterprises.
Advanced admission tickets available at each house, The Chandlery and the Roswell Visitors Center. For more details about the event, visit www.southerntrilogy.com or call 678.639.7500.

The Riverside Farmers Market is open for the summer (until September 5th) on Saturdays from 8AM to noon at Riverside Park. The market features fresh, locally grown produce. In addition the market features live music, exciting events, local chefs, lectures and demonstrations!
Items include a variety of fresh produce, jams and jellies, farm fresh eggs, shade-grown organic coffee, breads and tarts, local honey, specialty spice rubs, organic herbal soaps, gourmet doggie biscuits and an array of other natural and locally crafted products.
Vendors must grow their own produce and it should be grown within 100 miles of the market. Prospective vendors can get more information by contacting Louise Estabrook at 404.613.7670.
With support from the City of Roswell, the farmers market will fill a demand that has existed in the community for many years. Other metro communities have established farmers markets which have proven to be highly popular.
Restrooms and free parking is available. Riverside Park is located at 575 Riverside Road in Roswell.
